The new fragrance for men by Salvatore Ferragamo isn’t what you would expect from a brand that usually plays it so safe in the world of scent. UOMO Salvatore Ferragamo needed to be bigger and better than anything the Italian fashion house had done before and they’ve done it… really well.
The juice – initially sweet, but addictively sticky sweet – is a smell that keeps you going back for more. With notes of tonka bean and tiramisu (the first fragrance in the world to feature the famous Italian dessert), the first spritz is a real sugar rush. But when the fragrance settles on the skin, it transforms entirely. It mellows, becoming smooth, charming and woody, but still hanging on to those gourmand notes that make this fragrance so unexpected for a male scent. It works!
The heavy glass bottle proudly holds the elegant golden juice, while the black ‘Venna’ logo featured on both sides adds an element masculinity as well as acting as a grip. It is contemporary yet pleasingly retro, and the mix of bold colours work well together to create an identity that is very Ferragamo. The bottle doesn’t have a removable lid, but instead a ‘push to spray’ cap, something that continues to add to the UOMO Salvatore Ferragamo charm.
Speaking of charm, the face of the campaign is renowned actor, Ben Barnes. Not only is he rather easy on the eye, but he is also everything you would expect the UOMO Salvatore Ferragamo man to be. Stylish, elegant, modern and charismatic.
From the bottle, to the juice, the whole idea is considered and huge attention to detail has been paid – you really do want to be the UOMO Salvatore Ferragamo man.
