I was wandering through The Black Hall in Harrods, as I often do, when I stumbled across The Tuscan Soul Collection by Salvatore Ferragamo. I got talking to the consultant on the fragrance counter, who knew about all things Ferragamo and kindly spent time telling me the story behind the Tuscan Soul Collection. She described the 6 fragrances in the collection as ‘olfactory poems’, which take you on a scented journey celebrating the beauty, traditions and scents that give Tuscany its individual blend of authenticity and elegance. One that particularly caught my attention was ‘Bianco Di Carrara’. This scent is crisp, fresh and extremely clean – instantly taking me back to the sunny Sunday mornings when my Mum would do the weekly laundry.
Bianco Di Carrara is both fresh and warm, inspired by the sun drenched white marble of Carrara. The fragrance has a crystalline floral freshness, creamy notes and a hint of sophisticated white musk, creating an olfactory masterpiece. The juice is all about brightness and smoothness; in the top sits white pepper and neroli – creating that sensation of freshness, in the heart white vetiver and fig milk give a touch of sensuality and finally the base of tonka bean and musk ensure a cocooning caress on the skin.
Each of the fragrances in the Tuscan Soul collection sit in an elegant white, jewel like box, with dark wood detail to complement the wooden cap on the bottle.
Needless to say I couldn’t leave without a bottle of ‘Bianco Di Carrara’ to add to my personal collection and I’m so glad I did! As I was leaving – purchase in hand, the consultant told me that Ferragamo will be launching a new addition to the collection, La Corte, very soon so watch this space…
